We have had an eventful week with lots of work being done to improve our games. We have focused on enhancing our players’ game experience and enabling loyal players to earn and spend their rewards across all our games.
1. User interface improvements
Our goal for the first month of 2019 was to provide a better user experience for our players. Whether that meant looking at design or game performance, we wanted to test the games more in detail, with the players’ perspective in mind. So we started by putting ourselves in their shoes and navigated all the possible steps that they would take to accomplish an action. We have mapped out the main touch points in the games and analyzed the things that could be improved to make the user journey smoother. Some of the changes meant improving the onboarding experience for new players, faster access to their game account, and an easier way to start a game.
2. You can now earn and spend crowns across all our games
One of the most attractive features for our players is the possibility to use the crowns they win in any of our games.
For example: if you earned crowns in Hexa Word Search, you will be able to use them to unlock a puzzle pack in Jigsaw Journey. The crowns you win are now saved to your game account. The only thing you have to do up is to create a game account.
3. Rewards for creating a game account and linking it with Facebook
As a way to recognize committed players, we implemented a reward system that awards 10 crowns when you create a game account. Once you create a game account you will be able to win more crowns by participating in the Puzzle of the Day competition.
On top of that, you can get 5 more crowns when you link your account with Facebook.
If you haven’t already, create a game account and link it to Facebook to get 15 crowns that can be spent across all our games.
4. Removed all remaining ads in Jigsaw Puzzle Kids
As you may know from our previous updates in November, we removed the advertisements in Jigsaw Puzzle Kids. We thought it is safer for the kids to play the game without the interference of third parties’ content that we cannot control.
However, in early December, we discovered that occasionally some ads were still being displayed in the game.
We have run new tests again and solved all the issues that could cause the display of ads in the game. After the last game update, can now say with confidence that no ads are being displayed in Jigsaw Puzzle Kids.
